Groves began her career as director of Florida’s Medicaid Drug Utilization Review, working to reduce inpatient hospitalization by minimizing drug-drug interactions and adverse events through claims analysis and monitoring. Groves then moved to the software company Health Information Designs, where, as national director, she launched a product for monitoring drug-induced disease.
After earning her MBA from Harvard, Groves joined McKinsey’s healthcare practice in Atlanta, where her major clients included Egleston Children’s Hospital — for whom she served as CFO and head of program management — and Kaiser Permanente. Groves graduated from the University of Florida’s School of Pharmacy.
