Life Science Partner Announces Placement of Groves at Medtronic Cardiac

Life Science Partner announces the placement of Regina (Reggie) Groves as general manager, patient management with Medtronic Cardiac Rhythm Management in Minneapolis. Groves will lead product development activities, focusing on Internet-based software applications, and infrastructure for connecting patients and physicians to device data and associated services.

Groves was most recently global managing partner, enterprise services for Scient. Prior to its merger with Scient, Groves had joined iXL as senior vice president, healthcare strategy. Groves began her career as director of Florida’s Medicaid Drug Utilization Review, working to reduce inpatient hospitalization by minimizing drug-drug interactions and adverse events through claims analysis and monitoring. Groves then moved to the software company Health Information Designs, where, as national director, she launched a product for monitoring drug-induced disease.

After earning her MBA from Harvard, Groves joined McKinsey’s healthcare practice in Atlanta, where her major clients included Egleston Children’s Hospital — for whom she served as CFO and head of program management — and Kaiser Permanente. Groves graduated from the University of Florida’s School of Pharmacy.
