Cynthia B. Roberts, a former principal in the Healthcare Practice of Korn/Ferry International, has joined Life Science Partner as vice president.

Ms. Roberts joined the search industry at Korn/Ferry International in 1988, rising to the level of principal in the Healthcare Products practice. A graduate of Georgia State University, Roberts has recently recruited some of the top scientific, clinical and executive leaders in the medical devices and biotechnology fields.

Callaway, MD, MBA, formerly general partner at Fuqua Ventures, announced today that he is forming Life Science Partner, Inc., a consulting and executive search firm focused on the life sciences and innovative, technology-driven healthcare service companies. He remains a venture partner at Fuqua Ventures, where he and three partners manage the private equity investments of the Fuqua Ventures information technology and medical technology portfolio.

I have founded Life Science Partner to serve emerging biotechnology and medical device companies as well as publicly traded life sciences companies seeking top executives and scientists.”

Thomas H. Callaway, MD, MDA, the founder of Life Science Partner, is a former general partner at Fuqua Ventures and managing director of the Emerging Healthcare Technologies practice at Korn/Ferry International. Previously, he was with the biotechnology practice at Russell Reynolds in the San Francisco office. Dr. Callaway’s experience spans medicine, science and business. He began his career as Director, Scientific Affairs at Roche Molecular Systems, a division of Hoffman-La Roche, working with the team that created molecular tools for detecting specific DNA sequences. Dr. Callaway is a graduate of Duke University, the Fuqua School of Business, and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
