Thomas H. Callaway, MD, MBA, formerly general partner at Fuqua Ventures, announced today that he is forming Life Science Partner, Inc., a consulting and executive search firm focused on the life sciences and innovative, technology-driven healthcare service companies. He remains a venture partner at Fuqua Ventures, where he and three partners manage the private equity investments of the Fuqua Ventures information technology and medical technology portfolio.

“During my time with Fuqua Ventures, I found that many of the early stage companies needed expertise in building management teams and strategic plans to attract the highly competitive venture dollar. I have founded Life Science Partner to serve emerging biotechnology and medical device companies as well as publicly traded life sciences companies seeking top executives and scientists.”

Callaway explains that his firm differentiates itself by its emphasis on business and scientific innovators. Life Science Partner’s clients will also see value in the firm’s willingness to explore out-of-the-box solutions for recruiting, strategic consulting, or connecting to sources of capital.

Life Science Partner will be based in Atlanta, Georgia, but serve clients nationally.
