Additionally, Bogart will build and lead the team to grow the US commercialization opportunities with leading cardiac device companies seeking to bring their EKG monitoring solutions to ambulatory and at-home patients.

Bogart led the healthcare division’s go-to-market strategy spear heading critical partnerships and novel acquisitions during his tenure. Earlier in his career, Bogart served in revenue-generating business development leadership roles at companies such as G Medical Innovations, Viterion Corporation, LifeWatch, ZOLL Medical and Boston Scientific.

Bogart holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Lake Forest College.

Stan Harris

With nearly 40 years dedicated to the medical device industry and a focus on regulatory, quality, and clinical affairs, Harris brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the clinical operations team at BioTissue. The FDA and other global regulatory agencies are increasing the regulatory oversight of cell-derived therapies.  Harris will be responsible for developing and leading BioTissue’s clinical development with an emphasis in the ophthalmology, orthopedic and pain management indications.

Most recently Harris served as the Vice President, Regulatory, Clinical and Quality Affairs at Lifeline Scientific with previous clinical and regulatory roles at MiMedx, Integra Life Sciences, Ascension Orthopedics, and Wright Medical. “From his previous experience, Harris has direct relationships with key thought leaders in wound healing including excellent relations with the FDA, US, and European regulatory agencies for biological products,” states Tom Callaway, MD, MBA, Founder of Life Science Partner. “His experiences and enthusiasm will be ideal for BioTissue’s continued growth and product development.”

The MDIC brings together representatives of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), industry, non-profits, and patient organizations to improve the processes for development, assessment and review of new medical technologies. It is the only public-private partnership developed to work with government and industry stakeholders to advance solutions that promote patient access to innovative medical technologies.

Jo Carol Hiatt

Well-known across multiple industries, Dr. Hiatt will lead the MDIC’s efforts to increase predictability regarding the scientific and clinical evidence to support health economics assessment and the “reasonable and necessary” standard. She will act as the critical leader to interface between the MDIC, its members of the board, FDA, CMS, and other payors. In addition, she will manage the Health Economic and Patient Value committee to focus on projects that have a high priority for its members.

Previously, Jo Carol Hiatt was a Chair for the Inter-Regional New Technology Committee for Kaiser Permanente, where she led physicians and executives in reviewing evidence for new technologies. As an Assistant Medical Director, she acted as a liaison and strategist to produce recommendations for quality care based on available evidence and patient supply/demand forecasts. Her deep understanding of coverage processes as well as her connections with various organizations across the industry will make Hiatt a valuable addition to the MDIC leadership team.

Hiatt graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts, received her Medical Degree from Duke University, and completed her internship and surgical residency at University of California, Los Angeles. She also earned her MBA from UCLA in 2001.

David Ramsingh, MD

Ramsingh will direct multiple functions within clinical and medical affairs, oversee research activities around clinical trials, data management, and system development for future product approvals. In addition, he will oversee Edwards’ high standard of professional education through its Global Professional Development program.

Ramsingh possess valuable skills and experience, having come from Loma Linda University and University of California at Irvine, where he developed an innovative teaching program for anesthesiologists to apply whole-body, point-of-care ultrasound exams. At Loma Linda, his research focused on the use of ultrasound technology to improve perioperative care.

As the Director of Clinical Research and Perioperative Ultrasound at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Ramsingh spent most of his time leading a research team that he developed to focus on hemodynamic monitoring devices, partnering with corporate sponsors such as Edwards, Masimo, and General Electric. Ramsingh earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Loma Linda University, and he was a cardiothoracic fellow at the University of California in Los Angeles.

Ron Herbert

This viable allograft is delivered by a minimally invasive procedure and will be used for the treatment of Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD). As the company continues to grow in the spine and biologics space, it sought a talented Vice President, Marketing who could lead the branding campaigns and support the efforts of the geographic and product-focused sales forces.

Hebert was the Vice President, Marketing, Communications, and Growth Initiatives at MEDNAX, a physician-led healthcare organization that partners with hospitals and health systems to provide a wide range of clinical services. Coming into one of the largest physician-owned/operated national staffing companies, Hebert refocused the company strategy to the hospital-customer and provided them with proof of value. He also created programs that productized services such as women/children, anesthesia, and ENT/plastics specialists.

He also spent a majority of his marketing career at Beckman Coulter serving as Director of Global Strategic Marketing and Global Product Management and Strategy. Hebert’s notable accomplishment during his time here was being able to provide innovation within the traditional product portfolio of the hematology unit.

Booth understands how to build and lead a quality organization and to prepare a company to enter a new regulatory environment. Throughout his career, Booth has overseen teams ranging from small post-market groups to large, multi-site Operations Quality teams. Trained as a statistician, Booth often approaches problem solving by applying his analytical skills in conjunction with insights stemming from his extensive experience in the industry.

Booth will play a pivotal role in helping Be The Match during its next stage of growth and development. The organization is best known as the world’s largest provider of unrelated matched bone marrow donors for life-saving therapies. As allogenic-derived cell therapies are revolutionizing the treatment of cancer and genetic illnesses,

Balakrishnan Shankar

Shankar’s 20+ years of leadership in the development and commercialization of active implantable devices as well as their associated software will be an invaluable asset as Canary Medical prepares for the launch of the company’s connected devices.

Shankar previously served as Vice President of Software Development for Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure division, where he led software development across all product lines, including the CareLink patient monitoring system. He was previously at Nevro and St. Jude Medical where he led software product development, operations, and technology development, and systems engineering.

Iwaishi is a distinguished expert in regulatory and clinical affairs, with particular expertise in Japan, China, and the broader Asia-Pacific region. She possesses keen knowledge of the regulatory and cultural paradigms, launched the first drug eluting stent in China, and has considerable senior global leadership experience and business acumen. In her new role, she will spearhead Edwards Lifesciences’ regulatory and clinical programs in Asia, which the company has identified as a key strategic initiative.

She also led the regulatory diligence for Alere’s $1.3 billion acquisition. Ms. Eckerman joins CryoLife from Bolton Medical, an aortic stent graft manufacturer, where she served as Vice President of Global Marketing and was instrumental in the merger of Bolton Medical and Terumo’s subsidiary Vascutek under the brand Terumo Aortic following Bolton’s 2017 acquisition by the Japanese medical equipment company. Her earlier career features progressive sales and marketing roles with Medtronic and Intuitive Surgical, as well as service as Chief of Satellite Launch Operations in the United States Air Force.
